Friday's Fashion Inspiration

Aloha, it's been a while hasn't it.... Felt has been super busy and stressed out because of work. So pray for her and I'll be your best friend forever.

The long weekend awaits, and I'll be driving up the coast with my boyf and his family. We are officially the adopted children of his Aunt.

On the topic of weekends, Felt and I will be selling some second hand items next week, at Glebe Markets in Sydney. So come down say g'day and we'll have a yarn. We'll post more details soon :)

So today's inspiration looks at hair, art, books and staying true to yourself. Sometimes we can go off the rails. Stay focused on the plan and sh*t will work itself out. Trust me.

90s

As the 20th anniversary of Nirvana's album Nevermind comes closer, 23rd of Sept. I've been reminiscing about 90s culture, especially the music that I listened to back in the day. It's weird how these particular songs bring back a particular memory.

The 90s was so much fun. Gone are the days of not having mobile phones, people actually being prompt when meeting up, having to use the typewriter for class assignments, MIRC chat and the internet's slow inception, pen pals, friendship books, havaianas being $9 at surf dive and ski, Beverly Hills 90210 and New Kids on the Block hysteria. Good times!

Friday's Fashion Inspiration

So, today's Friday's Fashion Inspiration is dedicated to Felt because she loves scarfs. Hermes have booklets on how to tie scarves... But I love the Liberty tutorials, it's because she is French, and I like to think I'm French... and I love accents and Liberty is one of my favourite stores, their visual merch windows are hands down the best I've seen, the store layout and vibe is so English and creative. I'm a fan of Jasmine's creative direction for revitalising the Liberty brand.

Spring and Flowers

Spring is my month. A lot of babies have been born during this season, a lot of weddings celebrated, a lot of songs have been written about it. I have a love hate relationship with Spring, I love the array of flowers that bloom... yet I hate pollen, my natural enemy. I am a sufferer of hayfever. Yep one of those people.

I had dinner catch ups with my girlfriend and sister last night, and to my surprise I received these bad boys. It's always lovely receiving flowers, they always brighten up your day or in my case night. It was quite fitting really a great way to start Spring, with a fresh bunch of flowers.

So I'm going to write a few tips on how to keep your flowers fresh as a daisy. My friends S and J gave me these handy hints, as flowers are suppose to last up to about 1-2 weeks if you take care of them....

* Change the water every 3- 4 days, and trim the ends

* Add a little bit of bleech to the water

* Or you can pop an asprin in the water if you don't want to use bleech

* Use a pen/ or something sharp to prick the the stems, to help water flow
