Skins #5

Dress: thrifted, Bag: vintage, Leather Jacket: Zara, Shoes: Rubi.

I haven't posted a Skins entry for ages, so here you go....

How amazing was yesterday's weather! Great pub kind of day. I headed down to Strawberry Hills Hotel for a few beers and lunch. Their rooftop beer garden was very appropriate. We then went to El Loco, as SHH isn't a child friendly venue. I can't get over El Loco's hot dogs and nacho salsa, yum. Might go back there this week.

Unfortunately, Felt and another girlfriend wasn't able to make it :( it would have been an even better day if she was there.

I thought, I'd take these Rubi shoes for a spin. My sister said I looked overly dressed, which I agree with. As my shoes of choice are normally brogues/ ballet flats/ Nike dunks/ Hudson boots; practical comfort. So I thought, why not change it up a bit and wear one of my many heels that collects dust in my room. It added a lot of inches to my average Asian height, so it was a bit disconcerting to be towering over people. Wedges are truly the most comfortable type of heels to wear. Do you think so too or is it just me?

CHALK URBAN ART FESTIVAL

Hi Lovers and Friends...

I attended the annual Chalk Urban Art Festival, 6-9 October 2011, Church Street Parramatta, Sydney Australia.

Was privileged to meet many of the artists and speak to them about their aspirations and inspirations...You gotta love their work!!!

Unbelievable TALENT being uncovered!!

Friday's Fashion Inspiration

Today's inspiration is a mash of sorts.

Beautiful floral dresses with fur a la Isabel Lucas, damn she has a stunning face.

Mosquito net tea and book bedroom lounging, I would definitely jam in that type of hippie bedroom, a perfect lazy Sunday.

Rainbow dribble art, I went to El Loco last night and they had something similar on the wall. Law of Attraction is working yet again! I was in Dymocks the other day and was after sketch book and water colour pencils, to create a similar sort of art work. This type of abstract art is heavy on my mind of late. Must be the summer block colour I've been seeing around town.

Alexa Chung, yet again. I have a serious unhealthy obsession with her.

Blonde braids, don't you reckon braids look so much better on blonde birds? You can actually see it, unlike on my jet black hair.

Necklaces, thick gold gangsta type or crystals/gems/diamonds with a t-shirt.

Knitwear, leopard print and blouses buttoned at the top and tucked into leather shorts.

Backpacks, I stumbled upon a few bags my mum owns. I'm talking circa 80s. I swear I thank my mum for pretty much hoarding a lot of her old clothes and accessories. Every time I go through her closet I find something new. It's like a bottomless pit of thrift/ vintage awesomeness. Like today, I found a really cool denim shirt that I'll take for a spin.

Anyhow F&M friends, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. It's Sydney Craft Beer Week. So I'll see ya'll down the pub.

Friday's Fashion Inspiration

Classic themes that I can't get out of my mind.

Blouse and jeans combo, flower hair pieces, white lace dresses, blouse + short OR blouse + full skirt + socks + loafers, bare backs, the perfect cat eye make up and bretton stripes.

Onto the perfect cat eye. Do you find that there is only one eye you can perfect? Or are you one of those talented girls that can do both with ease. I fall into the first category. My right eye is always perfect, and I always do a botched job on my left. Don't you hate that? If you have any tips hit me up!

Have a great weekend my F&M fans :)
