LOST SHELTERED CHILD...BE WILD BE FREE!!!

i don't blog when im sad...or saddish...for some reasom i find feel as though...when i do...all these words streaming onto the page, are grave and dramatic and unreasonable...so harsh...we can be with ourselves...


But in all honesty i find that when these words streaming onto the page are reread and rethought...things are never really that bad...ever...really...NEVER...
These inner workings...when it comes to the bad things...sometimes are not even about the current situation...but a reminicent of past conflicts...past hurts....past suckiness!! The actual situation at hand is not even that bad...and after all if you can conquer it once...why wouldn't you be able to conquer it again...


So much of who you are is decided by the story you tell yourself everyday...of the things that you have accepted or believe is said by others...all in all...only you can decide...who you are...who you will be...who you can be...who you choose to be...


So I have labeled myself 'Lost' 'Sheltered' 'Child' for far too long...when in essence I am neither lost, nor as sheltered as I used to be...and for goodness sake i'm a freakin woman now...LOL...

I know what i want from this world. I know who I am. I know who I will be. I know what name I want for myself. I know how I want to be remembered.

I shall be open to experiences. I am traveling...I have always wanted to...and now I'm doing it! I shall be open to new found friends. I shall be open to random ass adventures...I always have been, I always will be. I will be open to love...though it freaks the hell out of me. I shall eat more and complain less. I shall laugh more and roll my eyes less. I shall live more and question less. 


I am pretty damn naive and gullible...I cannot help that...actually I can...and I choose to be that way. Life experiences...not everyone has it easy...not saying my life has been easy...but life really hasn't been that hard...I haven't struggled for food or water...I have always had a roof on my head...food on the table...I really think it is time to give back...this part i have yet to figure out...


I don't know where or when but I had always thought of myself as this girl...who didn't know what she wanted, was trying to find herself, was looking around at the world trying to figure out what was what??

Now I am a woman, who knows what she wants, knows that it is up to her to create who she is, who looks at the world in wonderment at the endless opportunities it has to offer.

When I say "BE WILD....BE FREE!!" I mean it in the sense that...do whatever you freaking want!! Whenever you freaking want!!! You decide!! You only live life once...don't have any regrets....be who you are...whoever that that is...whoever you want to be. I know it's a hard ask sometimes...but once you figure out who you are...it just falls into place, where and when you are ready!! Actually ready!! Not kinda ready!! LOL

Today's Skins post is a little different, I decided to take wall shots inspired by The Coveteur. You might see more of this type of Skins entries. As I'm quite awkward infront of the camera.

The first time I saw the above dress was on a girl who walked past my sister and I outside Sydney Theatre Company. We thought it was the most amazing thing in the world, the colour and polka dots is what got our attention. I actually thought it was a jump suit by the way it fell on the girl's body. I was quite surprised to find it online as one of Cotton On's web exclusives. So I decided to snap it up at a bargain price of $10, you can't argue with that price. I love bargain finds, tell me what your favourite bargain find is :)

Hi Lovers and Friends,

2012 it's the beginning of the year....and as I look back at the year that has been...I think of with fond memories of good times with family and friends...all the good food and good company...I think of all the shinanigans and all sorts of random crap we have gotten up to...

I realise how amazingly blessed I am to have such beautiful people in my life...I sometimes do forget and take for granted all the blessings I do have...when focusing on what I perceive is missing...and forget to live and breath gratitude!!! Truly I am blessed!!!

This 2012 had such a great start to the year..been the very best start of a year EVER...loved hanging with my babygirl Maybel...being surrounded with the beauty of the beach, the warmth of the sun, the coolness of the breeze..if it is any indication of what is to come...it will be the best year ever!!!

I have always had no fear when it comes to the matters of work, matters of family, matters of friends...have always had fears with the concerns of the heart, matters of travel, matters of the future...this 2012 I am being constantly reminded that without risk there is no reward...that twenty years from now...I would be dissappointed by not what I did do...but by what i did not do....not by what i did say....but by what i did not say!!!

It is hardest when you are in unfamiliar territory...when u fear the unknown...when u see what u lack...but it is even harder to not try...to feel fear then regret....just feel the fear and grab it by the balls...and do it anyway...whatever it is!!! Whatever your heart may fancy...wherever your dreams will take you...whenever it comes your way!!!

BRING ON 2012!!

The Beach

The best thing about summer is bumming at the beach, Coogee to be exact. Felt and I have been here for the last three days, soaking up the sun and lazying about.

I must say, the first week of 2012 has been amazing. Felt and I have been hitting the beach during summer break, we are having the best time soaking up the sun and going for dips in the ocean.

If the first week of this year is any indication of what's in store, it's going to be a rad journey!
